LVO stroke patient journey

The current stroke patient journey to treatment requires inter-hospital transfer for the various stages of stroke diagnosis. Using Pockit biomarkers with a handheld blood test, paramedics are able to identify LVO stroke cases on the spot and take them directly to a comprehensive stroke centre for treatment.

This time-saving difference would mean a 20% reduction in disabilities from LVO strokes.

Furthermore, every 10 minutes of earlier treatment leads to £8,172 of net monetary benefit, which leads to £3Bn saving in the US only, every year.
